Shortly after Nigel started I asked for  a special L a 40. He built it, it worked well until changing to a doublet. This Tuesday mailed a request for two new radiatots for another doublet, it attived Friday morning and the club gang are aiming to put it up next Monday. A very obliging, skilled and nice guy.

I purchased the HW20 OCF dipole from Nigel a few years back now, and it is still in service as a permanent antenna at my QTH, which is saying something in terms of how the antenna performs and has proven to be a reliable, cheap and effective antenna. I have it installed with the balun under my eaves at around 15 feet with the longer leg going down my garden, and the shorter leg running underneath the house guttering, so it is very stealthy but still performs very well in this configuration. It runs on 20, 15, 12, 10m, with no ATU, and runs on 17, 40 and 6 with a little help from my Z817 ATU. I have had many succesful DX contacts with it using only 5 watts with my FT817. I also purchased a 9:1 unun to experiment with longwire antennas from M0CVO  which is also of excellent quality. I contacted Nigel by phone for advice about his products on a few occasions and found him to be very friendly and helpful, so great after sales service as well!I'd thoroughly recommend any of his products to anyone without any hesitation.

I have made many Antenna's in the past, being a true Yorkshire man we don't like to dip into our pockets too often...(hihi) saw an ad online for the Multiband hw42hp OCFD 40 to 10m which played straight into my wheel-house I was amazed at how good it was... no atu was used SWR below 1.5 on all specified Bands. but with the LDG AT pro 100 tuner It will tune from 160m - 6m although 160m is a little ropey, I have had more DXCC's in the last 6 months of using this antenna then I've had for the last 2 1/2 years... JT65 worked all continents at 5w and below 20m Barcelona 872 miles 2w psk31,63,125 worked all continents 10w and below Thailand Japan Reunion Island not a problem for this antenna..

I paid £65 delivered for this model which in my book considering the construction quality and parts used and time is an absolute bargain.... I have a very small garden 13m x 12m the HW42HP is 20.28 meters long and fits in this space as an inverted "V" with room to spare....Many thanks M0CVO from a very happy customer.....best 73s

For many years I have had loops hanging from the trees at the bottom of my garden. I used to feed them with 1/4 wave 75 Ohm transformers. Then I connected them together and fed them with a homebrew ferrite cored transformer but I never seemed to get the turns ratio right to reliably get below 1.5 to 1. At Hamfest this year I bought a 4:1 Balun from M0CVO and hey presto 1:1 - and ofcourse I've got the balun benefit. Words should be added to the sales blurb for the 4:1 and use with loops. Cheers.

Magitenna arrived two day after i ordered it,i strung it up in my back yard from just below the gutter 20 feet to about 8feet to the washing line pole. Hooked it it my FT817 via an LDG 817 tuner and got a perfect swr on 20 meters. My first contact was a station in central Germany who gave me a 5/7 with just 5watts.I look forwad to getting out and about with it and work some QRP portable.I will experiment with different configs and try some counterpoise. All in all a great end fed, easy set up well made and it works

I purchased an HW40HP OCFD some time ago, this antenna is in my attic, in a flat 'V'  configuration, it is used exclusively on Digimodes, and mainly on QRP, on all bands. The 59 reports from every corner of the world, say it all. I would recommend this antenna to anyone, who has space restrictions or unfriendly neighbours / councils, and wish to get on with the hobby ? I have also had some SSB contacts in to the USA using 10w on 12m / 10m.

Hi Nigel, great to meet you again at National Hamfest :) It was nice to see your range of antennas is expanding, and I wish you well for the future.
